[Mark] This is a quick tour of Audiogram.

Our journey actually starts off in Volt.

But, with Volt, we’ll actually transcribe audio and video to a timed transcript, and this is the basis of, the production of the audiogram. We’re gonna go straight to edit transcript. So top button here, top right, which takes us to the transcript editor.

You can Export that entire clip as an audiogram if you want. But I’m gonna select a manageable piece here.

And just choose this icon of the pop up menu, open in audiogram, the one on the right.

Now I can choose whether it’s horizontal, vertical, or square. The the title can be changed, and you can select an audiogram to base your audiogram upon.

I’m just gonna start from scratch.

Immediately, you’ll see that we have, captions.

Very useful because the audiograms are usually destined for social media where sometimes, or or quite use quite normally, people have their audio turned off. Also great for accessibility.

[Media] If you phone, Allan, on Hartlepool 68136, the answer you’ll get may make you think that…

[Mark] You can change the text in here if you want. If you find it’s incorrect, you can split paragraphs and stuff like that just to position the the captions.

I’m just gonna whiz through this and show you all the things that you can change. You can you can select keyframes as we call them from the thumbnails here, and and you can navigate just by clicking on the words, double clicking on the words. Now, I can change the, the background color if I want. So and just choose a kind of, mode. And, that will flow down the way. So it kinda cascades down. So depending on what keyframe you’re on, that colour will just continue all the way down.

I can add background images if I want. So here’s some I’ve got prepared from earlier. Here’s a nice, budgie here. Upload that.

Actually, comes up quite small. It’s quite low resolution, but you can manipulate that and change that quite easily. So I’m Just gonna do that and then maybe change the opacity and bring that down a bit. And then you deselect like that. So now we have a a background. You might also want to add, a waveform.

Change the color of that to be something a bit more visible. A little bit of a canary color.

Oh, no. It’s a green color. I’m a bit colour blind.

There you go.

We got a brighter… You have different types of, waveform as well, so I’ll just play that.

[Media] If you phone Allen on the Hartlepool 68136, the answer you’ll get may make you think that he’s trying to send you up.

[Mark] You can also change the position, the opacity of that by pressing the select button there. You could add an image if you wanted to. So, we’ve got a background image alright already, but you might wanna add a foreground image.

So I can just, choose one from here.

That’s a nice budgie there. And, yeah. Just position that.

Oh, yeah. Have to press select first and then position that wherever I want to.

And as you can see, that flows that cascades down the way.

So every other keyframe will have that now, but I can I can just decide to change that image, simply by choosing another one.

Got lots of budgies here, so I’ll just choose another one.

Oh, it’s a nice budgie. Yeah.

And, the same the same thing really. Just just move it to wherever I want it to be.

There you go. And now so, you know, I can just kinda play play Play this back and try to check it. I can change the playback speed if I just wanna go through things quickly.

And…

[Media] I didn’t find it straight away. But, what’s the address, please?

[Mark] I’ll turn the the image. Select.

[Media] Right. Will it be alright if I come around and pick it up for you?

Good. I’m gonna see you, Johnny. Thank you very much.

[Mark] So there we have it. We, have a very basic, audiogram. Somebody with some artistic talent can a much better job than me. The last thing you wanna do is kind of export it. So we’ll just click the export button.

And there we have a finished audiogram. It’s a sort of an MP 4 file that you can download and then upload to social media. So I’ll just play through this a bit.

[Media] If you phone Allen on the Hartley call six 136. The answer you’ll get may make you think that he’s trying to send you up.

[Mark] So I should have probably corrected that text earlier, but, just to show you that quickly.

I think he said Budgerigar Bureau.

Bud-gee-ri-gar-Bureau.

And, you know, this will actually change in real time. And there you have that, so I might wanna export that again. I haven’t seen that now. So that’s basically Audiogram 2. It’s it’s, yeah. It’s work in progress, but there’s a lot you can do.
